What is Kickstarter? Why does Inkprint use it?
Kickstarter is a crowd funding website. You can sign up to ‘back’ projects that you like the look of, and your funds will help creators get their projects made! You aren’t charged until the end of the campaign, and then only if the campaign ‘funds’, i.e. raises at least the amount of money that the creators asked for. If the campaign doesn’t fund, backers aren’t charged, and the creators don’t get anything.
Inkprint Press has chosen to integrate Kickstarter into our release program as it allows us to subsidise the creation of the books, and allows us to fund fun extras like the Fan Kits!
